INDEX / NEXT The circular nets are fish farms. This is other issue on the BC coast that's causing an uproar. Some see economic opportunity and a means of providing low cost protein to people. I was disturbed to learn that it takes three or four pounds of fishmeal to grown one pound of farmed salmon; that doesn't seem very efficient.
