INDEX / NEXT This is the view from Ric and Dona's cabin. While it looks empty, the valley does include a smattering of homes and quite a vibrant community. The attraction to people is, obviously, the landscape. But amenities are far away and the harsh winters are long. It takes a certain kind of person to make a home here.
