INDEX / NEXT We took a small boat over to Koeye, the site of a beautiful beach and river on the east shore of Fitzhugh Sound (part of the Inside Passage). This is a very important site for the Heiltsuk. Despite its exposure to the open water, some rocks slow down the waves and make the beach a calm, quite place.
